We are De Vereenigde Amsterdamsche Reederij: a family business with a passion for sailing, organizing and hospitality. With our classic ships we provide the most beautiful cruises through the canals and waters of Amsterdam - from business get-togethers to weddings and everything in between. No day is the same here and we love that.
What will you do?
As a cooperating sales employee, you are the first point of contact for new and existing customers. You switch quickly, think in solutions and know how to turn every request into a great experience. And the best part? You don't sit behind a desk all day. You also roll up your sleeves yourself when necessary - whether at an event, on board or simply in the daily operations.
Your duties
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Answering customer questions (phone, email, socials)
- Help organize and supervise boating trips
- Actively participate in thinking about sales opportunities and marketing campaigns
- Interact with suppliers, crew and colleagues
- Sometimes stepping in ourselves when things get busy - we do it together
Who are you?
- You are commercially minded and love to score, but with a smile
- You are hands-on and don't mind occasional physical work as well
- You have an affinity for hospitality, hospitality and boating
- You work in a structured way and keep an overview, even when it's busy
- You preferably have experience in a similar position or industry
- You speak and write fluent Dutch. English is an advantage.
