General conditions

All our offers and agreements are subject to our general terms and conditions, which include the personal transport conditions CBRB/VNPR and the uniform conditions for the catering industry. Abridged below.

Payments should be made in 2 or 3 installments

1st installment: immediately after your acceptance of the offer you will receive an invoice with the estimated total amount (including VAT) of the receipt. Of this, 50% with a minimum of the ship rental will be charged as the 1st deposit. This amount must be paid within 7 days. If the 1st instalment is not credited to our bank account within 7 days of booking we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. 2nd term: at least 3 weeks before arrival the 2nd part of the invoice must be paid. If more or other than described in the offer has been ordered and delivered, you will receive the final invoice from us within 1 week after the party with the total amount, a VAT specification, minus the payments already made. Payment must be made within 7 days after receipt of the invoice. For customers located outside the Netherlands, we apply a 100% deposit of the total travel sum.

Cancellation and associated costs:

If cancelled up to 8 weeks before the party - 50% of the total travel price; if cancelled up to 4 weeks before the party - 75% of the total travel price; if cancelled within 4 weeks before the party - 90% of the total travel price; if no show - 100% of the total travel price.

Number of persons:

Based on the number of persons specified by the customer, the ship will be booked. This contracted number of persons may be changed up to 3 weeks before the party date unless a minimum number of persons has been agreed upon. If the number differs from the booked number by more than 10% the difference will be covered by our cancellation fee (see above). If more guests show up than the specified number, they will be charged. The number of persons may not exceed the legally allowed number of guests on board: Prince of Orange (500 on board), Sovereign (55 on board and Valentine (19 on board).

Third-party work:

Such as entertainment, sports programs, tours, etc. have their own terms and conditions which are applicable to your party if you use them. In most cases these conditions can be requested at Rederij CruiseWith Us. For the entertainment hired by you or us, an amount of € 12.50 per person will be charged for the care (food & drinks) on board.

Quotations are issued at all times subject to approval berth and passage of bridges, locks. The Master reserves the right to change / discontinue the sailing route when obstructions of bridges and locks / weather conditions (such as fog, ice, wind force etc.) require it. Rijkswaterstaat may at any time (due to unforeseen circumstances) make changes to the planned route due to obstructions of waterways, bridges, locks & moorings. Should Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij be unable to accommodate your event due to force majeure, deposits will be returned. If desired, Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij will try to arrange another location or ship. Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij is not obliged to pay any compensation.

During the parties, the use of confetti, rice, fireworks, smoke machines is not allowed. Any comments or remarks on the party must be made known to the party manager during the cruise or immediately at the end of the cruise. Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij reserves the right not to consider comments made later. All damage caused to the interior etc. during a party of Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij shall be for the account of the client concerned.

Verenigde Amsterdamsche rederij is not liable for theft of your property or personal injury. Children are the responsibility of the parents.

(Price) changes, change VAT rates, change diesel oil rates & printing/typing errors reserved.

General conditions are filed with the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht.
